HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-93-0648U-93-698 10/1/93 RESOLUTION NO. 9 3- 648 A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL TO THE OFF-STREET PARKING BOARD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI TO SERVE A TERM OF OFFICE AS HEREIN DESIGNATED. WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Off -Street Parking Board met on September 29, 1993, and subject to confirmation by the City Commission, appointed Dr. Eduardo Padron to the Off -Street Parking Board; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The appointment of Dr. Eduardo Padron as a member of the Off -Street Parking Board of the City of Miami to serve a term of office expiring December 2, 1998 is hereby confirmed. Section 2. At the City Commission meeting scheduled for October 14, 1993, we respectfully request the confirmation of Dr. Padron's re -appointment. � I have attached the draft Resolution No. 93-875 of the Off -Street Parking Board and a draft resolution for the City Commission. EDUARDO PADRON TO THE OFF-STREET PARKING BOARD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AND RECOMMENDING TO THE CITY COMMISSION THAT THIS REAPPOINTMENT BE CONFIRMED. WHEREAS, Dr. Eduardo Padron's term of office as member of the Off -Street Parking Board of the City of Miami expires on December 3, 1993; and WHEREAS, a member shall be named and appointed by the remaining members of the Board, subject to confirmation by the City Commission, for a term of five years; and WHEREAS, Dr. Padron has performed his duties and obligations in a conscientious and devoted manner; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Miami that Dr. Padron be reappointed: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE OFF-STREET PARKING BOARD OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Dr. Eduardo Padron is hereby reappointed a member of the Off -Street Parking Board of the City of Miami, Florida, pursuant to Section 23-A.1 of the City of Miami Charter, for a term of five years which will expire on December 2, 1998. ODIO City Manager October 25, 1993 Enclosed herein please find a copy of R-93-648 which was passed and adopted by the City of Miami Commission at its meeting held on October 14, 1993, reappointing you to serve on the Off -Street Parking Board of the City of Miami. Pursuant to Dade County Ordinance No. 77-13, and the Financial Disclosure law, Chapter 112.3145, Florida Statutes, as a member of the Off -Street Parking Board, you will be required to file a Statement of Financial Interests form with the Dade County Supervisor, Elections Department. Their address is: Metro Dade Center, 111 N.W. 1st Street, Suite 1910, Miami, Florida 33128- 1993 (Tel: 375-5553). Sections 2-305 through 306 of the City of Miami Code require all elective and appointive officers or employees of the City to submit to the City Clerk a Statement of Real Property Owned by him/her, whether the title be either legal or equitable, whether owned in whole or in part, as well as a Statement of Corporate Real Property in which he/she has a controlling interest, or is an officer. Enclosed herein please find a copy of said forms to fill out. Kindly complete and return them to us at your earliest convenience. Also enclosed is a copy of a memorandum from A. Quinn Jones, III, City Attorney, dated October 22, 1991, outlining some guidelines to assist members of City Boards and Committees in complying with the Government in the Sunshine Law.
