A RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE CARIBBEAN AMERICAN FESTIVAL TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE j CARIBBEAN AMERICAN FESTIVAL COMMITTEE ON OCTOBER 8-10, 1993; WAIVING ALL PERMIT FEES -� AUTHORIZED AS WAIVABLE BY THE CITY CODE; SAID AUTHORIZATION SUBJECT TO THE ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL OTHER NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT AND OBTAINING ALL NECESSARY PERMITS AND INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. All permit fees authorized as waivable by the City Code are hereby waived for the Caribbean American Festival to be conducted by the Caribbean American Festival Committee on October 8-10, 1993. Section 2. The herein authorization is hereby conditioned upon the organizers paying for all other necessary costs of City services and applicable fees associated with said event and obtaining all necessary permits and insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee. We would like to communicate to the City of Miami Commissioners the influential role that the Caribbean American Carnival is giving to the City of Miami throughout the Caribbean and the United States. Each year our influx of Carnival Participants develops to a greater number which brings out more spectators and tourists alike to enjoy this most wonderful event celebrated in the City of Miami. Therefore, we will petition to the City Commissioners our usual request for rental fee waivers related to our Carnival events. Please let us know an approximate time for our appearance.
