As per our phone conversation on :Cast thursday, august 5th.
I am requesting you the opportunity to include me in the next pu-
blic meeting agenda that City of Miami will perform on september
7th.
As I expained to you, I am planning to address before the
Honorable City Commission and expose the situation of t.hounsands
nicaraguans that are living in the Miami area and who have not an
i.nmigratory status established.
We need to obtain an official resolution of the City of Mia-
mi (Mayor & Commission)to ask President: Clinton, Attorney General.
Janet Reno and Congress to resolve positevely the Nicaraguan in -
migratory status. We will be promoting the same project to the
rest of the cities of Dade County, Dade County Commission and so-
me other level of authorities of State of Florida.
As I told you, last Monday august the 2nd. the City of
Sweetwater supported us already. Also I'm sending you via fax the
articles of The Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald and Diario Las Ame-
ricas, for your own information.
Thanks for all your suggestions and advices. T hope you could
help us.
