-- A RESOLUTION CONCERNING AN EDUCATIONAL
PROGRAM TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE CITY MANAGER
FOR THE PURPOSE OF INFORMING AND EXPLAINING
TO THE VOTERS OF THE CITY OF MIAMI THE
ELEMENTS INVOLVED IN REGARD TO THE VOTERS'
CONSIDERATION OF A PROPOSED CHARTER AMENDMENT
QUESTION WHICH, IF APPROVED, WILL MODIFY

PROVISIONS REGARDING THE LEASE OF CITY -OWNED
WATERFRONT PROPERTY; ALLOCATING FUNDS
THEREFOR, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000
-- FROM SPECIAL PROGRAMS AND ACCOUNTS, FOR SAID
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM, :CONTINGENT UPON ADOPTION
_ BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF A RESOLUTION
APPROVING AND SETTING FORTH SAID CHARTER
AMENDMENT QUESTION BEFORE THE ELECTORATE ON
THE NOVEMBER 2, 1993 ELECTION BALLOT,
SUBSEQUENT TO THE ADOPTION OF THIS
RESOLUTION.
WHEREAS, a need will exist to inform to the voters of the
City by way of explaining a Charter Amendment question that will
appear on the ballot at the November 2, 1993 Election in
connection with proposed modifications regaridng lease of City -
owned waterfront property, contingent upon adoption by the City
Commission of a Resolution approving and setting forth said
Charter Amendment question subsequent to this Resolution;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. An amount not to exceed $25,000 is hereby
allocated from Special Programs and Accounts in support of an

purpose of informing and explaining to the voters of the City of
Miami the elements involved in regard to the voters'
consideration of a proposed Charter Amendment question which, if
approved, will modify provisions regarding the lease of City -
owned waterfront property, said allocation contingent upon
adoption by the City Commission of a resolution approving and
setting forth said Charter Amendment question before the
electorate on the November 2, 1993 Election Ballot, subsequent to
the adoption of, this Resolution.
Section 2. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption,
