A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN INDIVIDUAL AND
CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF AN INDIVIDUAL
AS MEMBERS TO THE CITY OF MIAMI GENERAL -
EMPLOYEES' AND SANITATION EMPLOYEES' =
RETIREMENT TRUST, FOR TERMS AS DESIGNATED
HEREIN.

the City Commission and one to be seleoted by the Sanitation

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY

OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: -
Seotion 1. The following individual is hereby appointed
as a member to the City of Miami General Employees' and
Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust, for a term to expire on
November 30, 1994: -
T. Willard Fair
Seotion 2. The following individual, seleoted by the —
Sanitation Employees Assooiation (SEA) bargaining unit, is hereby
oonfirmed as a member to the City of Miami General Employees' and
Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust, for a term to expire on
November 30, 1994:

Enclosed herein please find a copy of R-93-259 which was passed
and adopted by the City of Miami Commission at its meeting held
on April 15, 19939 reappointing you to serve on the City of Miami
General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust.
Pursuant to Dade County Ordinance No. 77-13, and the Financial
Disclosure law, Chapter 112.3145, Florida Statutes, as a member
—> of the GESE Retirement Trust, you will be required to file a =
Statement of Financial Ipterests form with the Dade County —_
f Supervisor, Elections Department. Their address is: Metro Dade
Center, III N.-W. 1st Street, Suite 1910, Miami, Florida 33128-
1993 (Tel: 375-5553).
Sections 2-305 through 306 of the City of Miami Code require all
elective and appointive officers or employees of the City to
submit to the City Clerk a Statement of Real Property Owned by _
! him/her, whether the title be either legal or equitable, whether
`. owned in whole or in part, as well as a Statement of Corporate
Real Property in which he/she has a controlling interest, or is
an officer. Enclosed herein please find a copy of said forms to _
fill out. Kindly complete and return them to us at your earliest

City Attorney, dated October 22, 1991, outlining some guidelines _
to assist members of City Boards and Committees in complying with

ENCLOSURES:
Recommendation
It is respectfully recommended that the cityCommission adopt the
attached resolution authorizing the reappointment of individuals to serve
on the City of Miami General Employeesand Sanitation Employees' Board =
of Trustees.
The Board requests reappointment of T. Willard Fair and removal of Peter
Joffre whose terms both expired November 30, 1992, and the addition of
Robert Cummings to each serve for another two (2) year term of office. =
—: The above request is pursuant to City Ordinance No. 10002, Section 40-226
and 40-227.
City Code Sections 40-226 and
nine member board of trustees
plan known as the "City of
Employees' Retirement Trust".
40-227 provide for the appointment of a
to administer and manage the retirement -
Miami General Employees' and Sanitation,
Of these nine members, one is to be,,,..
selected by the City Manager, two by the general employees (AFSCME),_two
by the sanitation employees (SEA) and four independent trustees by the
City Commission.
At present, the terms of two of these members, Peter Joffre and T.
Willard Fair, have expired. It has been requested by the SEA that Robert
Cummings be confirmed as one of its apointments to the Trust to fill the
position formerly occupied by Peter Joffre. SEA has further recommended
that T. Willard Fair be reappointed to the Board.
