A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF LEADEX
CORPORATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$44.380.00, TOTAL BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR
WILLIAMS PARK REDEVELOPMENT - PHASE II --
BASKETBALL COURTS PROJECT (SECOND BIDDING)
B-2981-A; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM
FISCAL YEAR 1991-92 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
ORDINANCE NO. 10938, PROJECT NO. 331361, IN
THE AMOUNT OF $23,000.00 AND PROJECT NO.
331318 IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,360.00 TO COVER
THE CONTRACT COST, FOR A TOTAL OF $44,380.00;
FURTHER, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EXECUTE A CONTRACT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO
THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID FIRM TO PROVIDE
SAID SERVICES.
WHEREAS, sealed bids were reoeived April 13, 1993, for
WILLIAMS PARK REDEVELOPMENT - PHASE II - BASKETBALL COURTS
PROJECT (SECOND BIDDING) B-2981-A; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Direotor of the Department
of Publio Works reoommend that the bid from Leadex Corporation be
aooepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and
WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 1991-92 Capital Improvement
Ordinanoe No. 10938 was adopted Deoember 5, 1991, and monies are
available for the proposed amount of the oontraot, projeot
expense, and inoidentals under Projeot Nos. 331381 and 331318 of
said Ordinanoe;

NOW, TBBRBFORB, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF T99 CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Seotion 1. The reoitals and findings oontained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and ianoorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Seotion.
Seotion 2. The April 13, 1993 bid of Leadex Corporation,
in an amount not to exoeed $44,360.00, for the projeot entitled
WILLIAMS PARS REDEVELOPMENT - PEASE I1 - BASKETBALL COURTS
PROJECT (SECOND BIDDING) 8-2981-A for the total bid of the
proposal, based upon lump sum prioes, is hereby aooepted at the
pride stated therein.
Seotion 3. The total projeot oost of $44,360.00 is
=j hereby allocated from the Fisoal Year 1991-92 Capital Improvement
Ordinanoe No. 10938, Projeot No. 331381 in the amount of $23,000
—� and Projeot No. 331318 in the amount of $21,380.00.
Seotion 4. The City Manager is hereby authorizedl-' to
enter into a oontraot, in a form aooeptable to the City Attorney,
on behalf of the City of Miami with Leadex Corporation for the
y; above oited projeot and total bid of the proposal.
Seotion 8. This Resolution shall beoome effeotive
Immediately upon its adoption.

with all requirements that may be imposed by the City
Attorney, inoluding but not limited to those presoribed by _

It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt a
resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into contract on
behalf of the City with the lowest responsible and responsive
bidder, for the WILLIA14S PARK REDEVELOPMENT - PHASE II -
BASKETBALL COURTS PROJECT (SECOND BIDDING) B-2981-A, which will be
received on April 13, 1993. The project consists of the
construction of new basketball courts at Williams Park, 1719 N.W.
5th Avenue, Miami, Florida.
Cost Estimate: $60000.00
Source of Funds: Fiscal Year CIP Ordinance No.
as amended.,

Assessable projec&: No
Discussion: The Department of Public Works will evaluate the bids -
to be received on April 13, 1993, and will determine which will be _
the lowest reponsible and responsive bid, at which time a
recommendation will be submitted. Funds are available to cover
the contract cost, and for such incidental items as postage,
blueprinting, advertising,and reproduction costs. -
