HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-93-0256a-93-981 4/16/93 RESOLUTION NO. 93- 2516 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF MIRI CONSTRUCTION, INC., IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $71,747.00, TOTAL BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR GRAPBLAND HEIGHTS PAR% - BALLFIELD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT (SECOND BIDDING) B-2988-C; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM FISCAL YEAR 1991-92 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 10938, PROJECT NO. 331310; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID FIRM TO PROVIDE SAID SERVICES. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received April 13, 1993, for GRAPELAND HEIGHTS PARR - BALLFIELD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT (SECOND BIDDING) B-2988-C; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid from Miri Construction, Inc., be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 1991-92 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 10938 was adopted on Deoember 5, 1991 and monies are available for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals under Project No. 331310 of said Ordinance; CITY CO�QSg MEETING Or APR 15 IM 93'256 At NOW, THIMSPORR, 139 IT RESOLVED BY TER COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA Seotion 1. The reoitals and findings oontained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and inoorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Seotion. _ Seotion 2. The April 13, 1993 bid of Miri Construction, Ino., in an amount not to exoeed $71,747.00 for the projeot entitled GRAPELAND BBIGHTS PARK - BALLFIELD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT = (SECOND BIDDING) B-2988-C for the total bid of the proposal, - -I — based on lump sum prioes, is hereby aooepted at the prioe stated therein. Seotion 3. The total estimated projeot oost of _ $71,747.00 is hereby allooated from the Fisoal Year 1991-92 _! Capital Improvement Ordinanoe No. 10938. Projeot No. 331310. I Seotion 4. Odio REFERENCES: CONSTRUCTION PROJECT City Manager (SECOND BIDDING) ENCLOSURES: T RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into contract on behalf of the City with the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, for the GRAPELAND HEIGHTS PARK - BALLFIELD CONSTRUCTION PROJECT (SECOND BIDDING) B-2958-C, which will be received on April 13, 1993. The project consists of the furnishing of all labor, equipment and material for the construction of two (2) ballfields and other site improvements. The project is located at Grapeland _— Heights Park, Miami, Florida. BACKGROUND _ Coot Estimate: $60,000.00 Source of Funds: Fiscal Year CIP Ordinance No. as amended. Invitations: 250 invitations mailed. Public HearingsfNoticest No public hearing/Bid notice published. - - Assessable Project: No Discussions The Department of Public Works will evaluate the bids +— to be received on April 13, 1993, and will determine which will be the lowest reponsible and responsive bid, at which time a recommendation will be submitted.
