WHEREAS, pursuant to public notice, sealed bids were received March 15, 1993 for the furnishing and installation of two(2) 15 ton air conditioning units to the Manuel Artime Community Center for the Department of Community Development; and WHEREAS, invitations were mailed to forty-one (41) vendors and eight (8) bids were received; and WHEREAS, funds for this purchase are available from the Community Development Grant Block Program, Project No. 707210, Index code 451892 j and WHEREAS, this service is needed to replace the existing air conditioning units which are in deteriorated condition; and i WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of Community Development recommend that the bid received from Weathertrol Maintenance Corporation be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA% Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this - Section. Section 2.
