RESOLUTION NO. 9 3 - 188
A RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE CUBAN
MUNICIPALITIEG FAIR TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE
CUBAN MUNICIPALITIES FAIR CORPORATION ON
APRIL 1-4, 1993, ON THE GROUNDS OF THE
FLAGLER DOG TRACK; DECLARING THAT SAID FAIR
SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS ONE OF THE TWO
ALLOWED EVENTS PER SITE PER YEAR FOR
ACTIVITIES OF THIS TYPE; CONDITIONED UPON THE
ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL NECESSARY COSTS OF
CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED
WITH SAID EVENT AND OBTAINING INSURANCE TO
PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED
BY THE. CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Cuban Municipalities Fair to be conducted by
The Cuban Municipalities Fair Corporation on April 1-4, 1993, on
the grounds of the Flagler Dog Track shall not; be counted as one
of the two events allowed per site, per year, for activities of
this type at this location.
Section 2. The herein authorization is hereby conditioned
upon the organizers paying for all costs of City services and
applicable fees associated with said event and nh ain;nn
insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the
City Manager or his designee.
Section 3. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.

Dear Mr. Odio:
The Eleventh National Fair of the Cuban Municipalities in Exile has been
scheduled to take place from April 1st. to the 4th, 1993, on the premises
of the parking lot adjacent to the Flagler Dog Track, N.W. 37th Avenue at
7th Street, Miami. In order to proceed with the organization of the event
we need your approval for the use of such premises, and that this event -
not be counted as one of the two allocated events per site per year, as
specified in ordenance 9500 regarding these types of activities. We, -
hereby, are respectfully requesting from you such approval so that our -
event, now on its eleventh anniversary, may turn into another succesful -
"feria" as it has been in the past.
The schedule for the Eleventh National Fair is as follows:
Thursday, April 1: from S p.m. to 11 p.m.
Friday, April 2: from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Saturday, April 3: from 2 p.m. to 12 midnite
Sunday, April 4: from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.
We would also appreciate your cooperation in providing us with the -
necessary permit for the installation of 80-8' x 10' booths in the fair-
grounds, including the approval of the Zoning Board for this purpose.
