A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AND ESTABLISHING JUNE 1, 1993 AS "MIAMI'S CHILDREN AIDS AWARENESS DAY" AS A MEANS OF DIRECTING ATTENTION TO THE PLIGHT OF INFANTS AND -� CHILDREN WITH AIDS. 41 =11 _ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. June 1, 1993 is hereby designated and established as "Miami's Children AIDS Awareness Day", as a means of directing attention to the plight of infants and children with AIDS. Section 2. 'The primary goals of this corporation and the reason it was lormod is to operate for the advancement of charitable purposes, To further the common welfare and well- being of the residents of Greater Miami by improving their morale and sense of community pride; to re-establish trust, satisfaction and comfort among its residents and to improve Miami's image to those who reside outside of the community. Since 1981, Miami's For Me has actively pursued the fulfillment of its goals. In 1993 we Would like to 1■� establiah two additional new programs; Miami's For He international and Miami's Children AIDS Awareness Day. It is regarding this last Program that I write to you in the hopes that you Will be able to assist us in establisghing'l June as Miami's Children AIDS Awareness Day. The attached will give you an overview of our concept of this very apeeial C 0 day.
