WHEREAS, two vaoanoies exist on the General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust, one to be appointed by the City Commission and one to be ssleoted by the APSCME bargaining unit; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Seotion 1. The following individual is hereby appointed as a member to the City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust, for a term to expire on September 30, 1994: Seotion 2. Board REFERENCES: ENCLOSURES: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing the reappointment of individuals to serve on the City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Board of Trustees. The Board requests reappointment of Rose Gordon and Pamela Schade whose terms both expired November 30, 1992, to each serve for another two (2) year term of office. The above request is pursuant to City Ordinance No. 10002, Section 40-226 and 40-227. City Code Sections 40-226 and 40-227 provide for the appointment of a nine member board of trustees to administer and manage the retirement plan known as the "City of Miami General Employees' and Sanitation Employees' Retirement Trust". Of these mine members, one is to be selected by the City Manager, two by the general employees (AFSCME), two by the sanitation employees (SEA) and four independent trustees by the City Commission. At present, the terms of two of these members, Pamela Schade and Rose Gordon, have expired. It has been requested by AFSCME that the reappointment of Pamela Schade as one of its appointments to the Trust be confirmed. APSCME has further recommended that Rose Gordon be reappointed to the Board.
