Odio FROM : City Manager REFERENCES: _ ENCLOSURES: — RECOMMENDATION; It is respectfully requested that the City Commission appoint seven (7) individuals to serve as members and alternate members of the Code Enforcement Board for terms of office as designated herein. BACKGROUND: Section 2-392 of the City Code provides for a Code Enforcement Board to enforce technical codes of the City of Miami, which, whenever possible, shall consist of an architect, a businessperson, an engineer, a general contractor, a subcontractor and a realtor. At the present time there are seven (7) vacancies on the Board. These vacancies have been created for the following reasons: Ana Magda Guillen, John McBride and Willie Calhoun have each been appointed as Ili 9 Rearing,Officers for Code Enforcement Appellate Hearings. Due to the prohibition of dual office holding, these individuals have resigned their positions as board members. Maurice Pons has been removed from the Board after three (3) consecutive absences.. Carlos Arboleya, Jr. has resigned his position and Daniel Perez-2arraga's term is expiring February 10, 1993. In addition, one alternate - position remains vacant.
