A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE BID OF AMERICAN LIGHTING MAINTENANCE, INC., IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $140,020.00, TOTAL BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR GRAPELAND HEIGHTS PARR - SPORT LIGHTING PROJECT PHASE 11 (2ND BIDDING) B-29B3-B; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM FISCAL YEAR 1991--92 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT ORDINANCE NO. 10933, PROJECT NO. 331310, AND INSURANCE REIMBURSEMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $140,020.00 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST AND $23,305.60 TO COVER THE ESTIMATED EXPENSES, FOR AN ESTIMATED TOTAL COST OF $183.325,80; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received January 12, 1993, for GRAPELAND HEIGHTS PARK - SPORT LIGHTING PROJECT - PHASE II (2nd BIDDING) B-2963-B; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid from American Lighting Maintenance, Inc., be accepted as the ,lowest responsible and responsive bid; and WHEREAS, funds to cover the contract cost and estimated expenses are available from Capital Improvement Project No. 331310 and insurance reimbursement; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: CI!! The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and inoorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The January 12, 1993 bid of American Lighting Maintenanoe,.Ino., in the proposed amount of $140,020.00, for the project entitled "GRAPELAND HEIGHTS PARK - SPORT LIGHTING PROJECT - PHASE II (2nd BIDDING) B-2988-B" for the total bid of the proposal, based on lump sum prices and unit prices, is hereby accepted at the pride stated therein. Section 3. The total estimated project oost of $183,325.60 is hereby allocated from Fiscal year 1991-92 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 10938, Project No. 331310, and insurance reimbursement. Said total projeot post consists of the $140,020.00 oontraot oust and $23,305.60 estimated expenses incurred by the City. Section 4. The City Manager is hereby authorizedI/ to enter into a, oontraot, in a form aoceptable to the City Attorney, on behalf of the City of Miami with American Lighting Maintenance, Inc., for GRAPELAND HEIGHTS PARK - SPORT LIGHTING PROJECT - PHASE II B-2988-B, total bid of the proposal. Section 3. This Resolution shall beoome effective immediately upon its adoption. Funds are available to cover the contract cost, and for such incidental items as postage, blusprintingt advertising, and reproduction costs.
