HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-93-0053J-93-S3 1/14/93 RESOLUTION NO. 9 3 - 53 A RESOLUTION RELATED TO THE MIAMI DADS COMMUNITY COLLEGE, WOLFSON CAMPUS, GROUND BREAKING CEREMONY (PHASE III) TO BE HELD ON FEBRUARY 3, 1993; AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF DESIGNATED STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE AND FIRE, RESCUE AND INSPECTION SERVICES; CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL NECESSARY COSTS OF CITY SERVICES AND APPLICABLE FEES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT AND OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE. BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the Miami Dade Community College, Wolfson Campus, Ground Breaking Ceremony (Phase III), the following streets are hereby closed to through vehicular traffic from 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 2, 1993, to 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 3, 1993, as specified below: Northeast Fourth Street from Biscayne Boulevard to Northeast Seoond Avenue. Included in the herein closure are all streets, avenues, alleys, ways and thoroughfares which intersect the enumerated areas delineated in this Section. Section 2. The closing of such streets is subject to State approval and issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and Fire, Rescue and Inspection Services. The permit from the CITY CONMSSIOR MEETING Or, JAN 1 4 1993 [t nlutl" Na 93- 53 Department of Polioe is to be issued upon the full approval of the Chief of Polioe after giving all due consideration to the safety and traffio needs of residents, businesses and religious institutions in the area for entering and orossing through said arterials and upon the favorable exeroise of the City Manager's judgement predioated upon all faotors set forth herein. Seotion 3. The herein approvals and authorizations are hereby conditioned upon the organizers paying for all neoessary posts of City servioes and applioable fees assooiated with said event and obtaining insuranoe to proteot the City in the amount as presorlbed by the City Manager or his designee.
