It includes an application and all the information needed to request your allocation of this year's county grant funds. No tax funds from the general public or private businesses are used in this program. All monies are derived from surcharges on traffic fines. Approximately $25 million was distributed to counties in the first six years of the emergency medical services grant program. These funds were used to improve and expand prehospital services systems throughout the state. Florida's innovative grant program has led to new and better ways of providing emergency med:zal services for Florida's residents and visitors, resulting in the saving of lives. Working together we can continue to make a significant difference in pursuing excellence for Florida's emergency medical services. 3- I appreciate your cooperation and support for this program.
