DAY PARADE TO BE HELD JANUARY 16, 1995; AUTHORIZING THE PROVISION OF IN -KIND SERVICES FROM THE DEPARTMENTS OF POLICE, FIRE - RESCUE, GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION/SOLID WASTE, PARKS AND RECREATION AND PUBLIC WORKS, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THE AMOUNT ALLOCATED TO THE 1995 THREE KINGS DAY PARADE, SAID AUTHORIZATION CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZERS OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE, AND COMPLIANCE WITH ANY OTHER CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The provision of in -kind services from the Departments of Police, Fire -Rescue, General Services i Administration/Solid Waste, Parks and Recreation and Public Works for the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade to be held January 16, 1995, in an amount not to exceed the amount allocated to the 1995 Three Kings Day Parade, is hereby authorized. Section 2. The herein authorization is hereby conditioned upon the organizers obtaining insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee and compliance with any other conditions and limitations as may be prescribed by the City of Miami. In U.S. Congressman AiceeHastings previous years, city services for Police, Fire U.S.Congrsesswoman and Solid Waste were provided on -duty by city Ileana Ros-Lehtinen personnel. U.S. Congresswoman Carrie Meek Additionally, we are requesting an additional Commissioner Pedro Reboredo cash grant of $25 000.00 to cover other Metro -Dade County expenses associated with the parade and District6 activities.
