WHEREAS, the City of Miami, pursuant to Resolution No. 93-W9, adopted October 21, 1993, designated as a Category "B" Project, the aoquisition of professional planning services for the Coconut Grove Planning Study; and appointed Sergio Rodriguez, Assistant City Manager (or his designee) as clmirperson of the Competitive Selection COU ni.ttee , and estahl i he a Certification Comittee of not less than three professionals in the fields of endeavor or practice involved, to review the qualifications, performanoe data, and related information provided by those responding to the City's Request for Qualifications; and WBERFAS, the City of Miami issued a Request for Qualifications for professional land use planning, urban design, historio preservation, architectural, landscape architectural, implementation planning and transportation engineering and planning services on September 1, 1994; and ::CONSIDERED -SCIPrDED t A -LED Q �t+HRNnED BY: "1 4 % 9 CITY CON:iIISSION MEE 77'G OF Resolution No. 94- 768 e WHEREAS, the Certification Committee met on September 26th and October 6th, 1994 and oertified four teams as being responsive to the City's Request for Qualifications; and WHEREAS, the Consultant Selection Coaamittee, consisting of twenty (20) members, with four (4) employed by the City of Miami., four (4) being professionals from the practices involved, heard presentations and interviewed three certified teams on October 17, 1994; and. WBEREAS, the selection procedures were performed in aocordazuje with the Consultants Competitive Negotiation Act as set forth in Section 287.055 of the Florida Statutes and Ordinance No. 9572, adopted Felnuary 10, 19W and codified as Section 18-52.3 of the Code of the City of Miami.; I FOP. The recitals and fi rriings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. Subconsultants: Barton Aschman Associates, Inc. Thaddeus Cohen Architect Casella and Associates Crossroads Eggineering Data Inc. The Prime Consultant is located in the City of Coral Gables Team Ranked #3 Prime Consultant: Bermello Ajamil V Partners, Inc. Suboonsnitants: ERA International Paul S. George B. Mumford Plant-Axg and Real. The Prime Consultant is located in the City of South Miami Section 3. The City Manager or his designee is hereby authorized" to negotiate a professional services agreement on behalf Of the City of Hiani with the team ranked first as set forth in Section 2 herein. In the event that the City Manager or his designee cannot negotiate an agreement which, in hisopinion, is fair, coacrpetitive and reasonable with the team ranked first, then he is hereby authorized to formally te=dnate such negotiations. The City Manager or his designee shall then undertake negotiations with the team ranked second.
