Little Havana & Overtown/Park West Area FROM : Ces REFERENCES: Commission Agenda for City er" 10/8/94 ENCLOSURES: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute an amendment to the professional services agreement with Arthur Andersen and Company increasing the fee by thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) and extending the term of the agreement. The consultanting firm of Arthur Andersen and Company was contracted on June 1, 1994 (Resolution 94-354) to provide expert assistance to the City of Miami in analyzing sites in Little Havana and Overtown to determine the feasibility of proposed hotel developments. At the conclusion of work, the Consultant prepared two written reports of their findings with the recommendation that a residential and retail mixed use project be further studied as a more feasible alternative to a hotel for the Little Havana site. This contract amendment will enable this alternative analysis to be conducted.
