A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT OF
ONE (1) INDIVIDUAL TO SERVE AS A MEMBER OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI AFFIRMATIVE ACTION ADVISORY
BOARD FOR A TERM OF OFFICE AS DESIGNATED
HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Seotion 1. The appointment of the following individual
is hereby confirmed as having been seleoted by certified
bargaining representatives of City employees to serve as a member
of the City of Miami Affirmative Action Advisory Board for a term
expiring September 8, 1996:

RECOMMENDATION:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution confirming the appointment of one (1)
individual to serve on the Affirmative Action Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND:
The Department of Equal Opportunity/Diversity Programs
respectfully requests the confirmation of one (1) individual to
the Affirmative Action Advisory Board. Females and Hispanics are
underrepresented on the Board, comprising 17% and 42%, compared
to 46% and 62%r respectively, of the City of Miami general
population,
The Board requests the confirmation of a certified bargaining
representative of City employees as determined by the Fraternal
Order of Police.
