IN THE PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $290,253.00, TOTAL BID OF THE PROPOSAL, FOR THE PROJECT ENTITLED "MARINA IMPROVEMENTS - MIAMI YACHT CLUB H-1068; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR AS PREVIOUSLY APPROPRIATED BY ORDINANCE NO. 11139, AS AMENDED, FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 311808, IN THE AMOUNT OF $282,753.00, AND PROJECT NO. 311820, IN THE AMOUNT OF $7,500.00 TO COVER THE CONTRACT COST AND $7,000.00 TO COVER THE CONSTRUCTION INSPECTION, FOR AN ESTIMATED TOTAL COST OF $297,253.00; AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID FIRM. WHEREAS, sealed bids were received June 7, 1994, for the project entitled "MARINA IMPROVEMENTS - MIAMI YACHT CLUB H-1068"; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid from Marin and Marin Construction, Inc., be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and WHEREAS, Fiscal Year 1993-94 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 11139, as amended, adopted April 14, 1994, appropriated monies for the proposed amount of the contract and project construction expenses, under Project Nos. 311808 and 311820 of said Ordinance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: C= corvasslo F MEETIUC Cap J U a_ 1 94-- `� Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The June 7, 1994 bid of Marin & Marin Construction, Inc., in the proposed amount of $290,253.00, for the project entitled "Marina Improvements - Miami Yacht Club H-1068" for the total bid of the proposal, based on lump sum and unit prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein. Section 3. The total estimated project cost of $297,253.00 is hereby allocated from Capital Improvement Project No. 311808 (in the amount of $282,753.00), and Project No. 311820 (in the amount of $7,500.00) as previously appropriated by Ordinance No. 11139, as amended. Said total project cost consists of the $290,253.00 contract cost and $7,000.00 estimated expenses incurred by the City. Section 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized-!/ to execute a contract, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, on behalf of the City of Miami with Marin & Marin Construction, Inc., for the project entitled "MARINA IMPROVEMENTS - MIAMI YACHT CLUB H-106811. Section 5. The total bid of $290,253.00 from Marin & Marin Construction is to be funded from two separate Capital Improvements Projects. Project No. 311808 will provide funding for $282,753.00 and Project No. 311920 will provide funding for $7,500.00 for the total bid of $290,253.00.
