Hepburn Assistant Director Department of Development and Housing Conservation 300 Biscayne Blvd. Way, Suite 401 Miami, FL 33131 Dear Mr. Hepburn: On May 13, I visited your office with the purpose of discussing alternatives to begin as soon as possible a project of affordable housing in the Wynwood Area, in order to comply with the objectives of this corporation. You indicated me that the city would be willing to give us certain lots in order to build on them. Specifically were mentioned three lots as follows: 98 NW 27TH_ STREET 3431 NW 6TH AVENUE 169 NW 35TH STREET Afterwards, you told me that because of the problems with the sewer capacity it seemed to be difficult to build in those lots. Your recommendation was to discuss the matter with the officers of the Department of Environmental Resources Management,'which I did. They indicated me that most of the work to be done on the sewer would be finished by the month of September 1994 and then all the restrictions would be lifted. Based on this information we believe that it would be feasible to build on the lots that you offered. Therefore, by this means we are asking that the aforementioned lots be transferred to the Rafael Hernandez Hbusiq4 and Economic Development Corporation for the purpose of building affordable housing on them for the Wynwood Area. La j' J ...LA CASITA... 94- 482 We are planning to use funds that would be available through a bank consortium and the $100,000.00 from the Economic Development Department that were promised to us. Please notify us of the additional steps that need to be taken, as soon as possible. Vdi , Ang 1 a
