HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-94-0409J-94-382 4/27/94 RESOLUTION NO. 94- 409 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN EXPENDITURE, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $70,000, FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM FOR SEMI PERMANENT FENCING FOR THE SOUTH END OF BAYFRONT PARK. WHEREAS, the Bayfront Park Management Trust ("Trust") has managed Bayfront Park with the goal of insuring maximum community involvement; and WHEREAS, the Trust has increased the number of events held in Bayfront Park to more than one hundred and twenty; and WHEREAS, the newly completed South End Amphitheater is currently unfenced and ungated; and WHEREAS, a well designed and functional fence and gating system is essential for both security and event requirements; and WHEREAS, a well designed and functional fence and gating system will also make the South End Amphitheater attractive to small community and cultural organizations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Seotion 2. An expenditure, in an amount not to exoeed $70,000, for semi permanent fencing for the south end of Bayfront Park is hereby authorized, with funds therefor hereby allooated from the Capital Improvement Program. Semi Permanent Fence system for South End of Bayfront Park For city Commission Meeting of 6/9/94 Tt is respectfully raqueated that the City Commission allocate an amount not to exceed $70,000 to the Bayfront Park Management Trust to construct a semi permanent fencing and gating system for Bayfront Park's South End. The Bayfront Park Management Trust has successfully managed Bayfront Park with the goal of ensuring maximum community involvement. on May 13, 1994, the Trust aomplated construation of the South End Amphitheater.
