RESOLUTION NO. 9 4- 392
A RESOLUTION WAIVING THE RESIDENCY
REQUIREMENTS CONTAINED IN SECTION 2-428 OF
THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS
AMENDED, FOR JULIO GONZALEZ-REBULL, ELI
FEINBERG, STEVE SUAREZ AND BILL BAYER WHO
SERVE AS MEMBERS OF THE MIAMI SPORTS AND
EXHIBITION AUTHORITY ("MSEA").
WHEREAS, Section 2-428 of the Code of the City of Miami,
Florida, as amended (the "City Code"), establishes the guidelines
for membership on City boards; and
WHEREAS, the residency requirements contained in
Section 2-428 of the City Code may be waived by an affirmative
vote of four -fifths of the members of the City Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Miami City Commission wishes to waive said
residency requirements for MSEA members Julio Gonzalez-Rebull and
Eli Feinberg, appointed pursuant to Resolution No. 94-182 on
March 24, 1994, and Steve Suarez and Bill Bayer, appointed
pursuant to Resolution No. 94-344 on May 5, 1994;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference

thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this

Section.

Section 2. The residency requirements contained in
Section 2-428 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended, are hereby waived for the following individuals who
serve as members of the Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority:
1. Julio Gonzalez-Rebull
2. Eli Feinberg
3. Steve Suarez
4. Bill Bayer
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of June 1994.
