A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO WAIVE CITY OF MIAMI POLICE AND FIRE RESCUE FEES IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,000 FOR THE SEVENTH ANNUAL AMERICA'S BIRTHDAY BASH, TO BE HELD IN MILDRED AND CLAUDE PEPPER BAYFRONT PARK ON JULY 4, 1994, SUBJECT TO SUCH CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS AS MAY BE REQUIRED BY THE CITY OF MIAMI AND THE BAYFRONT PARK MANAGEMENT TRUST. WHEREAS, the Bayfront Park Management Trust (the "Trust") I has managed the City's Mildred and Claude Pepper Bayfront Park (the "Park") with the goal of insuring maximum community involvement; and WHEREAS, the annual "America's Birthday Bash", staged in the i City's Mildred and Claude Pepper Bayfront Park, has grown to be one of the largest Fourth of July Celebrations in the southeastern part of the United States; and WHEREAS, the "America's Birthday Bash" is one of the events sponsored by the Trust that has been extremely successful in making downtown Miami a destination for Miami's residents and visitors; and WHEREAS, the waiving of the City of Miami Police and Fire Rescue fees in the amount of $14,000 will greatly assist the Trust in the production of the Seventh Annual "America's Birthday Bash" on July 4, 1994; CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF APR 1 4 4994 Resolution No, -94- 235 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to waive City of Miami Police and Fire Rescue fees in the amount of $14,000, for the Seventh Annual "America's Birthday Bash", to be held on July 4, 1994 in the Mildred and Claude Pepper Bayfront Park. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of April 1994. S1tPHEN P.
