SWA 94.12/JK FROM NORSEMAN PLASTICS AT A TOTAL PROPOSED AMOUNT OF $48,750.00 FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES ADMINISTRATION AND SOLID WASTE; ALLOCATING FUNDS THEREFOR FROM THE FY'94 RECYCLING EDUCATION GRANT, ACCOUNT CODE NO. 421301-840, PROJECT NO. j 197006; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO INSTRUCT THE CHIEF PROCUREMENT OFFICER TO ISSUE A PURCHASE ORDER FOR THIS ACQUISITION. WHEREAS, the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste needs to purchase fifteen hundred (1500) compost bins from Norseman Plastics under an existing Palm Beach County Bid No. SWA 94-12/JK at a total proposed amount of $48,750.00; and WHEREAS, the City Commission, at its meeting of April 14, 1994 directed that these compost bins will be given to City of Miami residents at no charge; and WHEREAS, funds for this acquisition are hereby allocated from the FY'94 Recycling Education Grant, Account Code No. 421304-840, Project No. 197006; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Assistant City Manager in charge of the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste recommend the purchase of these compost bins from Norseman Plastics under an existing Palm Beach County Bid No. SWA 94-12/JK for a total proposed amount of $48,750.00 be approved; 'CrT l COMOSSION METING OF APR 1 4 1994 Resolution No. 94- 224 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The purchase of fifteen hundred (1500) compost bins under an existing Palm Beach County Bid No. SWA 94.12/JK from Norsemen Plastics at a total proposed amount of $48,750.00 for the Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste is hereby approved, with funds therefor hereby allocated from the FY 194 Recycling Education Grant, Account Code No. 421304-840, Project No. 197006. Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to instruct the Chief Procurement Officer to issue a purchase order for this acquisition. Section 4. Funds are allocated from the FY 94 Recycling Education Grant, Account Code No. 421304-840, Project No. 197006. BACKGROUND The Department of General Services Administration and Solid Waste needs to purchase fifteen hundred (1500) compost bins for City of Miami residents. This acquisition will be purchased under an existing Palm Beach County Bid No. SWA 94-12/JK from Norseman Plastics. Funding for this acquisition is available from the FY 94 Recycling Education Grant, Account Code No. 421304-840, Project No. 197006.
