HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-94-0210C J-94-597 3/24/94 RESOLUTION NO. n4— `�1® A RESOLUTION, WITH ATTACHMENTS, AMENDING THE REQUEST FOR UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS FOR VIRGINIA KEY BOATYARD, 3501 RICKENBACKER CAUSEWAY, MIAMI, FLORIDA, ISSUED FEBRUARY 4, 1994 TO: (1) INCREASE THE ACREAGE OF THE PROPERTY TO BE LEASED; (2) REPLACE THE ORIGINAL SURVEY SKETCH; (3) REPLACE THE ORIGINAL SITE LOCATION MAP; (4) INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF THE MINIMUM ANNUAL LEASE PAYMENTS TO BE PAID TO THE CITY; (5) CLARIFY THE TOTAL COST OF IMPROVEMENTS; AND (6) TO EXTEND THE PROPOSAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE THE AMENDMENTS TO PROSPECTIVE PROPOSERS. WHEREAS, on February 4, 1994, the City Commission authorized the issuance of the Request for Unified Development Proposals for Virginia Key Boatyard, 3501 Riokenbacker Causeway ("RFP"); and WHEREAS, the City Commission deems it necessary to amend said RFP as set forth herein; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The Request for Unified Development Proposals i for Virginia Key Boatyard, 3501 Rickenbaoker Causeway, Miami, Florida, issued February 4, 1994, is hereby amended in the following particulars`/: I I IZ. - C. Site Description (page 4) The total acreage of the property is 4-20t 5,404 acres. Exhibit 1 - Sketch of Survey (replace original survey sketch with attached survey sketch showing an additional 1.11 acres labeled "Lease Expansion Area".) Figure 3 - Virginia Key Boatyard - Site Location (replace original Site Location Map with attached Revised Site Location Map showing the expanded site area adjacent to the shoreline.) II. - F. Financial Return to the City (page 8) Minimum annual lease payments shall be $270,000 ,$286,000 ... IV. - E. Estimated Construction Cost (page 14) The total cost of all improvements shall be not less than one million dollars ($1,000,000). The value of any existing improvements on the site shall not be credited towards meeting the reauired one million dollar -cost of all imorovements. The City is seeking ne added value to the existini property of nQt less than $1.000.000 in new improvements. V. Proposal Submission Requirements (page 20) A. Submission Procedures Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. Underscored words and/or figures shall be added. The remaining provisions are now in effect and remain unchanged.
