WHEREAS, in an effort not to jeopardize said grant, the City
Commission has rescinded Resolution No. 94-100 and deems itin
the best interest of the residents of the City of Miami to accept
the grant with the proviso that the City Manager negotiate
acceptable conditions related to the Covenant of Purpose, Use and
Ownership;
WHEREAS, it will further be necessary to amend the existing
lease .agreement dated October 22, 1992 with CHT in order to
specifically define the portion of the leased premises which will
constitute the Project Site, and to clarify and assign certain
responsibilities related to said grant award;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section-1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.

Section 2. Resolution No. 94-100, adopted February 17,
19941,is hereby rescinded in its entirety.

Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
accept a grant, jointly with Center for Health Technologies, Inc.
(CHT), from.the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development
Administration (EDA), in the amount of $1,000,000 for the purpose
