RESOLUTION NO. 1

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION
EXPRESSING THAT THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI EXPECT THE MEMBERS OF THE STATE
LEGISLATURE TO PRIORITIZE ITS FULL FOCUS AND
ATTENTION TO THE ISSUES RELATED TO CRIME, AND
THAT SAID LEGISLATORS ADOPT THE INITIATIVES
AT THE CURRENT LEGISLATIVE SESSION NECESSARY
TO ASSIST THE CITY OF MIAMI WITH ITS FIGHT
AGAINST CRIME; FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY
CLERK TO TRANSMIT A COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION
TO THE HEREIN NAMED OFFICIALS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Miami City Commission hereby expresses
that .the citizens of the City of Miami expect the Members of the
State Legislature to prioritize its full focus and attention to
the issues related to crime, and that said legislators adopt the
initiatives at the current legislative session necessary to
assist the City of Miami with its fight against crime.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to transmit
a copy of this Resolution to Governor Lawton Chiles and all the
members of the Dade County Delegation.
