HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-94-0096nb t j p eT-94-242 2/17/94 94- 96 RESOLUTION NO.: A RESOLUTION MODIFYING SECTION II, E, "LEASE - TERM" OF THE REQUEST FOR UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS FOR VIRGINIA KEY BOATYARD/3501 ` RICKENBACKER CAUSEWAY (THE "PROPERTY") ISSUED FEBRUARY 4, 1994 (THE "RFP"), AS ADOPTED BY RESOLUTION NO. 94-46 ON JANUARY 27, 1994, THEREBY ALLOWING THE CITY OF MIAMI TO ENTER INTO A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH THE SELECTED PROPOSER FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPERTY FOR A TERM OF UP TO TWENTY (20) YEARS, BUT A LEASE TERM OF LESS THAN TWENTY (20) YEARS MAY BE PROPOSED AT THE OPTION OF THE PROPOSERS; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ISSUE AN ADDENDUM TO THE RFP, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, REGARDING SAID MODIFICATION. WHEREAS, the Request for Unified Development Proposals for Vi i i K B t d/3s01 Ri k k C (th "P t ") rg n a ey oa yar c e ao er auseway a roper y issued February 4, 1994 (the "RFP") provided for the City of Miami entering into a lease agreement with the selected proposer for the development of the Property for a term of ten (10) years with one five (5) year renewal at the City's option and subject to renegotiated terms; and WHEREAS, it has been determined that in order to secure financing for the development of the Property, the term of the lease agreement between the City and the selected proposer should be for a period of up to twenty years; and 07T COMUSSXON MEETING OF FEQ 1 7 1994 Resolution No. t W 1 IN 96 —3— a
