WHEREAS, the Miami Zoning Board at its regular meeting of December 20,
1993, Item No. 5, following an advertised hearing, adopted Resolution
No. ZB 128-93 by an eight to zero (8-0) vote, recommending official vacation
and closure of a portion of a street as herein set forth, subject to the
requirements of the Plat and Street Committee; and
WHEREAS, the City Cormni.ssion finds that it is in the best interest of
the general welfare of the City of Miami and its inhabitants to grant the
vacation and closure of the street as set forth herein and deems it advisable
to do so;
NOW, TfBERUIORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to
this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and. incorporated
herein as if fully set forth in this Section.

Section 2. The portion of Northwest 4th Court from Northwest loth
Street to Northwest llth Street is hereby closed, vacated, abandoned and
discontinued for public use, as provided in City of Miami Code Section 54.5-16
and as a Condition for the approval of Tentative Plat Number 1423-A "Jefferson
Reeves Health Center Subdivision", subject to the requirements of the Plat and
Street Committee for the property located at 1009 Northwest 6th Avenue, Miami,
Florida, more particularly desoribed and set forth in Exhibit "A", attached
hereto and incorporated herein.
Section 3. This Resolution shall beoome effective immediately
upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of January 1994.

HISTORY
ANALYSIS The Public Works Department and the Plat and Street Committee have studied the proposed closure
of NW 4 Ct. between NW 10 and 11 Streets and determined that the closure of this roadway will
not adversely affect traffic circulation or access for public service vehicles such as tra h
and garbage trucks, fire, police and/or other emergency.vehicles. NW 4 Court currently exter
only one block between NW 10 and 11 Streets and is not port of the critical pedestrian and
vehicular ttansportation network for the neighborhood. The.Plat and Street Committee has
reviewed the tentative plat of Overtown/Jefferson Reeves Health Center and determined that all
technical requirements contained in the City Code Subdivision Regulations have been met and the
closure of this roadway and development of the health center would benefit the general public.
The Public Works Department and the Plat and Street Committee recommend approval of this street
closure request.
