AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MEMBERSHIP, APPOINTMENT PROCEDURE, CHAIRPERSON PROVISIONS AND POWERS OF CHAIRPERSON PROVISIONS AS APPLICABLE TO THE NIIAMI SPORTS AND EXHIBITION AUTHORITY; MORE PARTICULARLY BY AMENDING SECTION 52.6-3 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED; CONTAINING A REPEALER PROVISION, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 1. Section 52.6-3 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, concerning the Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority is hereby amended in the following particulars:l/ "Sec. 52.6-3 Governing body. (a) Composition. The authority shall consist of elero�ea fl-It thirteen (13) voting members to be appointed by the city commission, one (1) of which shall be a city commissioner as an ex-officio chairperson thereof. The mayor shall rK ninate three (3) members, and each city commissioner shall ncm_inate two (2) members and the city commission, at large, shall appoint one (1) member. u The chairperson of the authority shall have the power to appoint all members serving on the various committees which the authority shall establish from time to time." Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances insofar as they are inconsistent or in conflict with the provisions of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. l/ Words and/or figures stricken through shall be deleted. If any section, part of section, paragraph, clause, phrase, or Word of this Ordinanoe is declared invalid, the rpnna_i ni ng provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected. Section 4. The Ordinanoe is hereby declared to be an emergency measure on the grounds of urgent publio need for the preservation of peaoe, health, safety and property of the City of Miami. Section 5 . The requirement of reading this Ordinan.e on two separate days is hereby dispensed with by a vote of not less than four -fifths of the members of the City Cou ni.ssion. Section 6.
