Dear Mr. Gort:
First, I would like to extend my congratulations to you own your
recent victorious election as Commisioner of the City of Miami.
Prior to my illness the City of Miami Commission approved a
proposal submitted by the Model City Crime Prevention Sub -Council
to activate the following:
1. Crime Watch on Wheels - awarded $49,000.00 from the City of
Miami Police Law Enforcement Trust Fund;
2. Improvements to be made on the North District Substation
Building (i.e., rear gate, air condition and bathrooms);
and,
3. The Push Out the Pusher (P.O.P.) Unit's need for two(2)
additional police officers and the $24,000.00 needed for
equipment.
I would like to appear in front of the board of commission the
first commission meeting in January, 1994.
I would greatly appreciate an update or a status report of each
concern.
