Dear Mr. Schwartz: `
Very much to my astonis::ncnt it has come to my attention
that on the date of this letter a meeting is scheduled for ALL
Downtown Property Crwners'at the DDA to which I was not invited.
Moreover, a questionnaire was sent for Property Owners' response
to such significant issues as security services and sanitation,
we were again overlooked!
Please be informed that Flaaler Street Associates as the
managing entity for the Seybold Building will not attend said
meeting but DOES NOT approve the extension of the District for
an additional year, the funding of private security services nor
any other services for additional tax assessments on Downtown
Properties, nor are we willing to pay any additional taxes.
The Seybold Building does not approve of private security
surveillance. It is indicative of the disregard of the public's
trust and mismanagement of City's funds when additional taxation
is requested for such basic services to which we are entitled as
taxpayers. The Seybold Building pays over $250,000.00 a year in
Real Estate Property Tax for which we receive NOTHING in return
from our elected officials.
The Seybold Building urges the DDA to work in our behalf,
not to our detriment, and unite as a monolithic force to enhance
Downtown Miami's image by adequately managing our existing resources.
As an accountant and Property Manager I can offc; a solution to
your budget woes. When expenses rise uncontrolablylbeyond your
income, it's time to go out of business. We, as Property Owners,
are tired of dipping into our pockets to componsate for excessive
spending.

The Seybold Building will not attend the meeting, but
will NOT pay any additional taxes, regardless' of the outcome
of said meeting. We are tired of voicing our opinions with
total disregard by our elected officials.
Please STOP and listen to the consensus of
your taxpayers.
