WHEREAS, sealed bids were received on October 31, 1995, for the "LUMMUS PARK PARKING & WHEELCHAIR ACCESS B-6246 (SECOND BIDDING)"; and WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Public Works recommend that the bid from The Acme Group, Inc., be accepted as the lowest responsible and responsive bid; and WHEREAS, the Fiscal Year 1994-95 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 11205, as amended, adopted on November 17, 1994, appropriated monies for the proposed amount of the contract, project expense, and incidentals under Project No. 331387 of said i I Ordinance; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: :CITY CONdivlISSION MEETING OF DEC 0 7 1995 Resolution No. Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The October 31, 1995 bid of The Acme Group, Inc., in the proposed amount of $41,038.98, for the project entitled "LUMMUS PARK PARKING & WHEELCHAIR ACCESS B-6246 (SECOND BIDDING)" for the total bid of the proposal, based on lump sum and unit prices, is hereby accepted at the price stated therein Section 3. The total estimated project cost of $48,686.95 is hereby allocated from Project No. 331387, as appropriated by the Fiscal Year 1994-95 Capital Improvement Ordinance No. 11205, as amended. Said total project costs consist of $41,038.98 contract cost and $7,647.97, estimated expenses incurred by the City Section 4. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into a contract, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney, on behalf of the City of Miami with The Acme Group, Inc., for "LUMMUS PARK PARKING & WHEELCHAIR ACCESS B-6246 (SECOND BIDDING)", for the total bid of the proposal. 4 Section 5. BACKGROUND Amount of Bid: $41,038.98 Cost Estimate: $38,000 % of Cost Estimate: 107.9 Source of Funds: Fiscal Year 1994-95 C.I.P. Ordinance No. 11205, as amended. Funds are available to cover the contract cost, and for such incidental items as postage, blueprinting, advertising, and reproduction costs. The project consists of the furnishing of all .labor, materials and equipment for the construction of two parking lot including the demolishing of an existing building located at proposed visitor's parking lot as shown in the plans and specifications.
