HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-95-0769J-95-1066 10/26/95 RESOLUTION NO.9 5 - 7 6 9 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CLOSURE OF DESIGNATED STREETS TO THROUGH VEHICULAR TRAFFIC DURING THE DEDICATION AND CONSECRATION CEREMONY FOR THE NEW CHURCH FACILITIES OF THE EPISCOPAL, CHURCH OF THE INCARNATION ON SATURDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1995 BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9:00 A.M. AND 3:00 P.M., SUBJECT TO THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS BY THE DEPARTMENT'S OF POLICE AND FTRE-RESCUE; FURTHER, APPROVING THE DEPLOYMENT OF ON -DUTY POLICE OFFICERS TO POLICE SAID EVENT; SAID APPROVALS AND AUTHORIZATIONS BEING CONDITIONED UPON THE ORGANIZERS PAYING FOR ALL COSTS OF CITY SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH SAID EVENT AND OBTAINING INSURANCE TO PROTECT THE CITY IN THE AMOUNT AS PRESCRIBED BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. In order to effectuate safe passage during the dedication and consecration of the new church facilities of the Episcopal Church of the Incarnation, the following streets are hereby closed to through vehicular traffic from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 28, 1995, as specified hereinbelow: Northwest 54th Street from Northwest 18th Avenue to Northwest 19th Avenue. Section 2. Said closing of streets is subject to the issuance of permits by the Departments of Police and Fire -Rescue. Said permit from the Department of Police is to be issued upon full approval of the Chief of Police after giving all due CITY C©MM'ISSIOIV MEETINC OF 0 C T 2 6 1995 Recotution rJo. 95- G consideration to the safety and traffic needs of residents, businesses and religious institutions in the area for entering and crossing through said arterials and upon the exercise of the City Manager's judgment predicated upon all factors set forth herein. Section 3. The deployment of on -duty police officers to police said event is hereby approved. Section 4. The herein approvals and authorizations are hereby conditioned upon the organizers paying for all costs of City services associated with said event and obtaining insurance to protect the City in the amount as prescribed by the City Manager or his designee. Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 26th day of October 1995. Aft STUPHEN P.
