QU 707:BS'S , III W349:Csk: 3- 95- 707 CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA INTER -OFFICE MEMORANDUM =00125OW-011 TO FROM : The Honorable Mayor and Members DATE: of the City Commission Cesar H. Odio City Manager FILE : SUBJECT: Proposed Resolution to Sell Surplus Cellular Units for $100 to City REFERENCES: Employees on Stipends ENCLOSURES: It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission pass the attached resolution classifying surplus City cellular telephone equipment as category "A" Surplus Stock and selling the same for the sum of $100 to eligible City employees that are currently using said equipment but are opting for the City's new cellular telephone stipend. •• 0 The City of Miami has a new cellular telephone policy that calls for cellular telephone stipends to be paid to eligible City employees in lieu of City -provided cellular telephone equipment. Since there is no longer a City need for said equipment, it becomes City surplus eligible for sale or donation. At the same time the need exists, on the part of the City employees who are eligible, to acquire cellular telephone equipment in order to qualify for the new cellular telephone stipends. The attached resolution formalizes the direct sale to eligible City employees of the cellular telephones, batteries, battery chargers and other attachments that they are currently using for the sum of $100, after the signing of all applicable release documents.
