RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AN INDIVIDUAL TO SERVE AS
A MEMBER OF THE CITY OF MIAMI AFFIRMATIVE ACTION
ADVISORY BOARD TO FILL THE REMAINDER OF AN
UNEXPIRED TERM OF OFFICE AS DESIGNATED HEREIN.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The following individual is hereby appointed
to serve as a member of the City of Miami Affirmative Action
Advisory Board to fill the remainder of an unexpired term ending
June 25, 1996:

SUBJECT: Resolution appointing One
(1) Individual to the
Affirmative Action Advisory
REFERENCES Board.
ENCLOSURES:
It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the
attached resolution authorizing the appointment of one (1)
individual to serve on the Affirmative Action Advisory Board.
BACKGROUND:
The Office of Equal Opportunity/Diversity Programs respectfully
requests the appointment of one (1) individual to the Affirmative
Action Advisory Board. Females and Hispanics are
underrepresented on the Board, comprising 3801 and 380, compared
to 45% and 66a, respectively, of the City of Miami's labor force.
Commissioner Plummer's previous appointment, Scott Warfman,
missed three (3) consecutive meetings and was removed in
accordance with Ordinance 11130, Section 2-430 Attendance
requirement.
This appointment is in accordance with adopted Ordinance 11130,
Sec. 2-428, Membership on Boards.
