Dear Alberto,
Since our last correspondent^e- regarding NUG's plates to resurface tekiztis courts at
Moore Park through.9uh'.L-A-Y, (Participate in the Lives of America's Youth)
initiative, I wanted to update you on our t.-urre nt timetable and plans.
As you know, we conducted a stte inspection at Moore; Peirk in April, and are
prepared to resurface the five courts nearest the street and grancit3tand area through
our Reuse-a-Sltue program, in which we use recycled athletic shows to produce;
resilient base mats for basketball courts, playgrounds and running tracks. Moore
Park will be our first tennis court project.
We are currently in the process of testing two different surface coatlzlge for
wearability and weather resistance. We, expect these tests to run through the
summer months. We anticipate resurfacing of the Moore Park courts to begin in
mid, to- late -September, inunedistely ,followed by a dedication ceremony in
conjunction with officials from the Lipton ChampionsWps and Publix, who will be
donating funds for a tennis program for the area's underprivileged kids. We
believe this timing will also work to our advantage; in ten -as of availability of key
NIKE tennis athletes for the dedication ceremony.
Additionally, before we can commence construction, we require a signed. hold
harmless and insurance agreement (Fanclosed In the 0.6ginal letter dated March 20,
1995). If you require another copy of these documents, please call me at (a03) 671-
2228.
