RESOLUTION NO. 3
A RESOLUTION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A
LEASE AGREEMENT, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE
CITY ATTORNEY AND IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE TERMS
SET FORTH IN THE MEMORANDUM, ATTACHED HERETO
AND MADE A PART HEREOF, BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI AND METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY, WHEREBY
THE CITY OF MIAMI SHALL LEASE A PARCEL OF
VACANT LAND LOCATED BETWEEN NORTHWEST 2ND AND
3RD AVENUES AND FRONTING ON NORTHWEST 3RD
STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA, FROM METROPOLITAN
DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to accomplish the
purposes contained in the memorandum (the "Memorandum"), a copy
of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to
negotiate and execute a lease agreement (the "Agreement"), in a

form acceptable to the City Attorney and in substantially the
terms set forth in the attached Memorandum, between the City of
Miami and Metropolitan Dade County, Florida, whereby the City of

Miami shall lease from Metropolitan Dade County a parcel of
vacant land located between Northwest 2nd and 3rd Avenues and
fronting on Northwest 3rd Street, Miami, Florida, more
particularly legally described in said Agreement.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 14th day of September 1995.

ENCLOSURES: from Metro -Dade County
It is respectfully recommended that you authorize the City Manager to negotiate and
execute a lease agreement, in a form acceptable to the City Attorney and in substantially
the terms set forth below, between the City of Miami and Metropolitan Dade County,
whereby the City of Miami shall lease a parcel of land located between NW 3rd Avenue
and NW 2 Avenue and fronting on NW 3rd Street, Miami, Florida, from Metropolitan
Dade County, Florida.
The City of Miami has negotiated four real estate transactions and a solid waste interlocal
agreement with Metropolitan Dade County, collectively being presented for City
Commission consideration. It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission
adopt the attached resolution authorizing the City Manager to execute a Lease with
Metropolitan Dade County whereby the City of Miami shall lease from Metropolitan
Dade County a parcel of vacant land located between NW 3rd Avenue and NW 2nd
Avenue and fronting on NW 3rd Street, Miami, Florida, more particularly legally
described in said Agreement.
