A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE
DEADLINE, FROM AUGUST 3, 1995 TO SEPTEMBER 1,
1995, FOR THE RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF THE MIAMI MARINE STADIUM AND
ANCILLARY RECREATION RELATED SERVICES ON
VIRGINIA KEY PURSUANT TO THE CITY'S REQUEST
FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) DOCUMENT ISSUED MAY 31
1995, AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the Unified Development Project
process defined in the City Charter and Code, and pursuant to
Resolution No. 95-281, adopted April 27, 1995, the City has
issued a Request for Proposals for the development of a Marine
Stadium facility and ancillary recreation related services on
Virginia Key; and
WHEREAS, since the May 3, 1995 issue date, additional
clarifying information in the form of an addendum has been
provided to all potential proposers regarding revised definitions
of minority and women's business enterprises; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager_ and
the Director of the Department of Community Planning and
Revitalization that it is most advantageous to the City to allow
an extension of the proposed submittal deadline, from August 3,
1995 to September 1, 1995, to allow proposers additional time to
integrate this information into their proposals;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference
thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this
Section.
Section 2. The deadline for the receipt of proposals for
the development of a Marine Stadium facility and ancillary
recreation related services on Virginia Key pursuant to the
City's Request for Proposal (RFP) document issued May 3, 1995 as
amended, is hereby extended from August 3, 1995 to September 1,
1995.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 13th day of July, 1995.
