A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE, FROM AUGUST 1, 1995 TO SEPTEMBER 1, 1995, FOR THE RECEIPT OF PROPOSALS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE MEGA YACHT MARINA AND RELATED USES ON WATSON ISLAND, PURSUANT TO THE CITY'S REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) DOCUMENT ISSUED MAY 1, 1995, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, in accordance with the Unified Development Project process defined in the City Charter and Code, and pursuant to Resolution No. 95-280, adopted April 27, 1995, the City has issued a Request for Proposals for the development of a Mega Yacht Marina and related uses on Watson Island; and WHEREAS, since the May 1, 1995 issue date, additional clarifying information in the form of an addendum has been provided to all potential proposers regarding revised definitions of minority and women's' business enterprises and other related project matters; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Manager and the Director of the Department of Community Planning and Revitalization that it is most advantageous to the City to allow an extension of ,the proposal submittal deadline, from August 1, 1995 to; September 1, 1995, to allow proposers additional time to integrate this information into their proposals; and .LJJ j L.V rJ GLJ I. Please be advised that Section III. C. "Commitment of Property", to be consistent with Section I1. E. Lease Term, has been corrected as follows: C. Commitment of Property (paage12) " The City intends to enter into a lease agreement for the Property with the selected proposer. (Refer to Section II.E.) The term of the lease agreement to be entered into between the selected proposer and the City shall be " five (4 5) years with one fifteen (IS) year- Fenewal at the ' a maximum of up to sixty (60) years.
