RESOLUTION NO. 9 5 458
A RESOLUTION CLASSIFYING TWELVE (12) SURPLUS
POLICE VEHICLES AS CATEGORY "A" SURPLUS
STOCK, SHOULD SUCH CARS BECOME AVAILABLE;
FURTHER, STIPULATING THAT IN SUCH CASE, SAID
VEHICLES SHALL BE DONATED TO THE CITY OF
SWEETWATER, FLORIDA, SUCH DONATION TO BE
VALID AND EFFECTIVE BETWEEN JUNE 1, 1995 AND
MAY 31, 1996, UPON THE EXECUTION OF THE
APPROPRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS; SAID VEHICLES
TO BE USED BY THE CITY OF SWEETWATER,
FLORIDA, IN ITS EFFORTS TOWARD DETERRING
CRIME.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Twelve (12) surplus police vehicles are
hereby classified as Category "Al' stock, should such vehicles
become available as surplus City stock.
Section 2. Within the period of June 1, 1995 and May 31,
1996, said Category "A" surplus stock, if available, is hereby
donated, upon the execution of the appropriate release documents,
to the City of Sweetwater, Florida, said vehicles to be used by
the City of Sweetwater in its efforts toward deterring crime.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately upon its adoption.

I respectfully request the opportunity to appear before the City of
Miami Commission meeting on May 11, 1995, in order for the City of
Sweetwater to be considered to receive approximately 12 former
Miami police Department vehicles. This way the Department will be
abler to continue to serve the community with pride and disti.notion.
If you can help us with your kind consideration in thio matter, t
would greatly apppreciate it. Additionally, please advise at your
earliest convenience the time of the City Commission meeting and a
copy of the agenda, so that we might mare the necessary
arraignments.
Please be assured of our continued cooperation in all matters of
mutual concern.
