PERMISSION TO DISTRIBUTE DRUG ABUSE AND AIDS (ACQUIRED IMMUNE DEFICIENCY SYNDROME) PREVENTION LITERATURE IN THE CITY OF MIAMI, SAID PERMISSION CONTINGENT UPON (1) THAT THERE SHALL BE NO SOLICITATIONS FOR MONEY; AND (2) PATRIARCH, INC. OBTAIN ALL REQUIRED PERMIT(S). BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. Representatives of Patriarch, Inc. is hereby granted permission to distribute drug abuse and AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) prevention literature in the City of Miami, said permission contingent upon (1) that there shall be no solicitations for money; and (2) Patriarch, Inc. obtain all required permit (s). Lucien T, Engelmajer Association has been serving substance abusers and their families without any discrimination wether it be sexual, religious, racial, social status, or physical state. The Association alms at giving back hope to as many as possible of those affected by substance abuse, its corollaries, Aids and associated diseases. Starting with young people disorientated, physically diminished, often immuno deftclent, disgusted with themselves and life, it aims at returning to society free, proud, responsible and jointly liable beings that have refound their dignity, The therapy, with exceptionally positive results, is Wmated by former substance abusers applying principles diametrically opposed to those, applied everyday by drug users. 'l'he fatalist conception of the newcomer is soon replacedl by an appetite for lito that he wants to share with others. -- Admission: a ffienclly talk takes place and not one of anger which is often his daily ufliverse.
