A RESOLUTION CLASSIFYING SIXTEEN (16) SURPLUS
MIAMI POLICE DEPARTMENT MOTORCYCLES AS
CATEGORY "A" SURPLUS STOCK, SHOULD SUCH
VEHICLES BECOME AVAILABLE; FURTHER DONATING
THE SAME, RESPECTIVELY, TO RECIPIENTS AS
SPECIFIED HEREIN, SUCH DONATIONS TO BE VALID
AND EFFECTIVE BETWEEN FEBRUARY 9, 1995 AND
FEBRUARY 8, 1996, UPON THE EXECUTION OF THE
APPROPRIATE RELEASE DOCUMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Sixteen (16) surplus Miami Police Department
motorcycles are hereby classified as Category "A" surplus stock,
should such items become available as surplus city stock.
Section 2. Within the period of February 9, 1995 and
February 8, 1996, said Category "A" surplus stock, if available,
is hereby respectively donated as follows: six (6) surplus
motorcycles to the City of Sweetwater, Florida, six (6) surplus
motorcycles to the City of Opa-Locka, Florida, and four (4)
surplus motorcycles to Costa Rica.
Section 3. Said donation is subject to the execution of
the appropriate release documents and, where applicable, payment
of transportation, packing and
recipient(s).

immediately upon its adoption.

I respectfully request the opportunity to appear before the City of
Miami, Commission meeting on February 9, 1995, in order for the City
of Sweetwater to be considered to receive six (5) former Miami
Police Department motorcycles• This way the Department will be
able to continue to serve the community with pride and distinction.
if you can help us with your kind consideration in this matter, I
would greatly appreciate it. Additionally, please advise at your
earliest convenience the time of the City Commission meeting and a
copy of the agenda, so that we might make the necessary
arraignments.
Please, be assured of oar continued cooperation in all matters of
mutual concern.
