REQUEST/LOCATION Amendment to Article 4 of Zoning Ordinance 11000.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION
PZ•3
PETITION Consideration of amending Ordinance 11000, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Miami, by amending Article 4, Section 401. Schedule of District Regulations
in order to add Camping Facilities as a conditional principal use within the PR
Parks and Recreation zoning district; said use shall be permitted by Special
Exception permit with City Commission approval, and subject to exceptions.
PLANNING Approval.
RECOMMENDATION
BACKGROUND AND The requested amendment to the text of Zoning Ordinance 11000 is in order to allow
ANALYSIS Camping Facilities within the "PR" Zoning District, by Special Exception, with City
Commission approval, unless the proposed camping facility was part of an RFP or UDP
Process in which public hearings, with referrals to appropriate agencies, were
conducted. The camping facility use is consistent with the intent of the "PR"
Zoning District and the special permit and/or hearing processes which are required,
will ensure that appropriate conditions are attached to each proposal on a case by
case basis.
