Od1O REFERENCES : Miami Riverside Center City Manager Acquisition ENCLOSURES: RECOMMENDATION It is respectfully recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached ordinance amending Ordinance No. 11205 and establish a Capital Improvement Project entitled "Miami Riverside Center Acquisition". BACKGROUND On July 13, 1995 the City Commission passed Resolution No. 95-527 approving the purchase of the real property located at 400 SW 2nd Avenue, commonly known as the Miami Riverside Center and owned by the Florida Power and Light Company (FPL), in the amount of $15,600,000 plus $100,000 for related expenses. Resolution No. 95-527 also allocated funds for this purchase from the City of Miami Special Obligation Bonds Series 1995. Therefore, funds in the amount of $15,700,000 need to be appropriated in the Capital Improvement Appropriations Ordinance under new CIP No. 311045. This ordinance is declared to be an emergency measure due to the upcoming closing and finalization of the purchase of said property by the City of Miami from FPL on October 2, 1995. 1.1297 '?`/ MIAMI DAILY BUSINESS REVIEW Published Daily except Saturday, Sunday and Legal Holidays Miami, Dade County, Florida.
