LEGAL DESCRIPTION N/A. PETITION Consideration of amending the text of Ordinance 11000, as amended, the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami, Florida, by amending Article 4, Section 401, Schedule of District Regulations, by amending the G/I Government and Institutional Zoning District in order to modify the sign regulations of said district. i PLANNING Approval. RECOMMENDATION BACKGROUND AND The existing sign regulations for the G/I Government and Institutional Zoning ANALYSIS District are as for the 0 Office District, which in turn goes back to the R-4 and R-3 Residential Districts respectively; upon conducting an analysis of said regulations, it was determined that the scale of -uses permitted in the G/I District (which includes hospitals, schools and other such major public facilities) warrants a different and more expanded type of signage requirements. It is therefore recommended that the sign regulations for the G/I Zoning District be modified to read as for the C-1 Restricted Commercial District which is more similar in scale of facilities.
