ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE, WITH ATTACHMENTS, RELATING TO
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSES AND ADMINISTRATIVE
FEES; AMENDING CHAPTER 31 OF THE CODE OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA BY DELETING SAID
CHAPTER'S EXISTING "ARTICLE II. SCHEDULE OF
OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE TAXES" IN ITS ENTIRETY
AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFOR A NEW ARTICLE II
INSTITUTING A NEW OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE
CLASSIFICATION AND RATE SCHEDULE FOR PERSONS
OR ENTITIES DOING BUSINESS IN THE CITY OF
MIAMI; INCREASING OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE
TRANSFER FEES; REQUIRING OCCUPATIONAL LICENSE
TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE CITY OF MIAMI AND/OR
ITS AGENCIES; CONTAINING A REPEALER
PROVISION; SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

WHEREAS, Article II, Section,�31 35 of Chapter 31 of the Code
of the City of Miami est�l shes a schedule off,.�occupational
license taxes; and
WHEREAS, t e ity of ami, pursuant apter 205, Florida
Statutes, and a to 1 of the de o\ he City of Miami, is
empowered to imp se and collect an o� pational license tax for
the p(WHE
ivilege f doing business in the City; and
AS, in respo se t ena ling legislation set forth in
Secti 205.0535, Flo d S tes (1993), the City Commission
establi ed an Occupat' nal License Equity Study Commission
("Study Commission") to publicly meet and study the City's
existing occupational license classification system and rate
structures, and make recommendations to the City Commission; and
