RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), REQUESTING
THAT THE METROPOLITAN DADE COUNTY BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE THE TRANSFER OF
CONVENTION DEVELOPMENT TAX FUNDS THROUGH THE
MIAMI SPORTS AND EXHIBITION AUTHORITY
("MSEA") TO THE CITY OF MIAMI, FOR ANY
ELIGIBLE STAFF POSITIONS IN THE CITY'S
CONFERENCES, CONVENTIONS, AND PUBLIC
FACILITIES DEPARTMENT AND FOR THOSE
FACILITIES SET FORTH ON EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED
HERETO, PURSUANT TO F.S. 212.0305, SUBJECT TO
THE TRANSFER. OF FUNDS TO THE CITY BY MSEA.
WHEREAS, F.S. 212.0305 (1995) provides for the use of
Convention Development Tax funds for eligible facilities and
projects within the City of Miami; and
WHEREAS, the Miami Sports and Exhibition Authority ("MSEA")
has stated its intention to transfer funds to the City of Miami
to be used for eligible facilities and projects in accordance
with F.S. 212.0305 and is presently evaluating the amount of
available funds;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: c

Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the
Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference

thereto and incorporated herein as if fully set forth in this '

ATTACHMENT (S)
Section 2. The Metropolitan Dade County Board of County
Commissioners is hereby requested to approve the transfer of
Convention Development Tax funds through the Miami Sports and
Exhibition Authority to the City of Miami ("MSEA"), for any
eligible staff positions in the City's Conferences, Conventions,

and Public Facilities Department and for those facilities set
forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, pursuant to F.S. '§ 212.0305,
(1995) subject to the transfer of funds to the City by MSEA.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective
immediately uponits adoption.
