BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: s Section 1. City Code Section 2-429 states: "The terms of office of the members of each board shall run concurrently with the term of office of the commissioner that nominates each member. When the nominating commissioner leaves office the board member's term shall expire." Seven appointments are needed at this time: • Mayor Carollo has two nominations. One of said seats is to fill a vacancy; and the other one is for a seat presently held by David Berley, who had been appointed by former Mayor Clark, for a term which expired May 5, 1996, • Commissioner Regalado has one nomination. Said seat is presently held by James Wellington, who had been appointed by then Commissioner Carollo, for a term which will expire on May 5, 1997. • Commissioner Plummer has one nomination. Said seat is for a vacancy created by the resignation of William Harrison, who had been appointed by Commissioner Plummer, for a term which will expire on May 5, 1997. • Commissioner Dunn has two nominations. Said seats are currently held by Bijan Nakhjavan and Richard Cai Svendsen, who had been nominated by former Commissioner Dawkins for terms which will expire on May 5, 1997. For your information, attached please find a copy of the current membership of said board.
